GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Smoke Detector Tester NF conveniently tests the functional ability of a smoke detector. Can
be sprayed while standing on the floor eliminating the need to climb ladders or chairs. Ideal
for residential or commercial detectors and is safe and easy to use. A short 3 second burst of
the tester is all it takes. In addition, the tester checks for obstructions or debris which clog
detector vents and prevent smoke from properly entering the sensing chamber. This
important safety test is not accomplished by pushing a test button

DIRECTIONS
• Shake can well. Hold can 20-40 cm below smoke detector and spray for 2-3 seconds.
• If alarm does not sound within 10 seconds, repeat the process. Some detectors have a
built in delay to reduce false alarms.
• If unit still fails to sound, immediately inspect unit for malfunction, debris, or dead
batteries.
• To silence activated alarm quickly, fan air through the detector’s vents.
• Do not over-spray. Over-spraying may reduce sensitivity until product fully evaporates.
• For detectors connected to sprinklers, halon systems or central monitoring systems, be
sure unit is in the test mode before testing with the CRC Smoke Detector
A safety data sheet (MSDS) according to EC Regulation N° 1907/2006 Art.31 and
amendments is available for all CRC products.
